Jess Dow Field tickets & upcoming events

Looking for a spot that’s got some serious history and a lively vibe? Jess Dow Field at Southern Connecticut State University in New Haven is where the action happens. This place isn’t just your average stadium, it’s hosted everything from college football games back in 1981 to epic cross country meets in 1993 that pushed even the toughest runners to their limits. It’s a hub for community events too, like charity walks where folks raise big bucks for local causes, honestly, it’s pretty inspiring to see how much energy this field draws. The seating is pretty flexible, letting fans wander around and find their perfect spot, and they’ve really thought about accessibility with designated parking and accessible paths for people with mobility challenges. Plus, if you’re coming from the north side, you can easily reach the field via the scenic canal path, nice touch, right? Whether you’re there for a game, a concert, or just to soak up the community spirit, Jess Dow Field is a lively, welcoming place that truly feels like the heart of Southern Connecticut.
